‘Crystalline Dream’ is the first in a new body of work. It is an evolving transition from the other lens-worked pieces combined with an old paperweight made in 2007; the ‘Gemstone Paperweight‘. On this work the battutoed surface is brought to a high polish making each mark to the glass become a tiny lens. This breaks up the view looking through the transparent surface forcing the viewer to peer through each large lens instead.
